Our family home burned to the ground

Our family home in Altadena for the past 28 years burned to the ground last night in the Eaton fire. My parents, John Culpepper and Lisa Heidel, lost everything.

Thank God they are safe, but since they were not even told to evacuate their area, they didn't have anything with them but the dogs. They happened to be staying with friends due to a power outage, and were fortunately, not home. They literally have the clothes they were wearing last night, and their two dogs. Nothing else is left. We are just so grateful they are alive.

My family is devastated and completely in shock. We are grateful to anyone who is able to contribute, no matter how minimal, to help my parents get back on their feet. Thank you so much ❤️
