On Father’s Day June 21, 2026 my daughter and her family lost her car in a car fire. They were traveling to the cape may zoo and upon arrival their car started to smoke. Her finance got out to check the car and as soon as the hood was popped the front end started to catch fire. Two Bystanders jumped into action helping them remove their four children from the car and some of their belongings.

They’re on a single income due to my daughter’s health issues. Some of their belonging they lost in the car were their rent money, her seeing glasses, and some other personal items they couldn’t retrieve from the glove box. At this point they’re without rent money and their only car. I ask as a mother and a grandmother that you look into your hearts to please donate any little you can to help my family out. I thank God that my grand babies are alive and well, I also thank God for my daughter and my son in law well-being. I want to thank you with all my heart for your donations and support. We are all living check to check and I would love to purchase a car for my daughter but my income is limited due to being retired and living on $800.00 a month social security. So I ask that you find it in your hearts to please help my family get back up on their feet.

I would like to thank the two bystanders (Mike and Eric ),Cape May county sheriffs officers and Cape May station fire department who jumped into action to helped my daughter, son in law and grandchildren to safety !
