Our school community is coming together to support two families who are facing an incredibly difficult and unexpected situation.
Recently, two fathers from families in our school community were detained by ICE and are currently being held in a detention center in Texas. They have made the heartbreaking decision to self-deport to Honduras. Between these two families, there are three children—students, classmates, and friends of our own children—whose lives have been turned upside down overnight.
With their fathers gone, these families are now facing immediate financial hardship and an uncertain future. We are raising funds to help cover essential needs during this transition, including:
Rent and basic living expenses
Food and daily necessities
Airline tickets for reunification in Honduras after the school year ends
These are hardworking families who are part of our community. Their children sit in classrooms with ours, play on the same playgrounds, and call this place home.
Any contribution—big or small—will help provide stability, dignity, and support during this incredibly challenging time. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean so much.
Thank you for helping us show these families that they are not alone.
