We Need a Little Help

Hi everyone - I never thought I'd have to make a post like this, but both properties my father owns (his home and mine) were hit hard by the local flooding of the Canastota Creek early this morning, and the damage has been devastating.

We're now facing unexpected repairs, two families being misplaced, and lost belongings.

More expenses we will be expecting will be an electrician to come and assess the electrical situation, given the electrical was/is underwater. National Grid informed us they will not turn any electricity/gas back on until everything is dry and the buildings have been inspected by a certified electrician.

We will need to rent a dumpster to dispose of all of our destroyed belongings.

Replace the hot water tank.

And so much more... We have not been able to assess all the damages in full for both properties, given we haven't been able to pump all the water out today.

We've started a GoFundMe to help us get back on our feet, and any bit is helpful and beyond appreciated.

While we try to recover from this, some of us will unexpectedly be out of work...
