On Friday, January 30th of 2026, our family was shaken to our very cores by the loss of our foundation, the heart of our family, Eusebio Alvarez. A husband, a father, a grandfather who sacrificed and continued to sacrifice to the end. A man who stepped up for his family, who chose to leap into a better life, who guided with steady hands through a foreign place just to grant a chance at something more for his children and their children. A man mourned, cherished, and held with a love so deep it defies distance as he proved time and time again. As strong and prepared as our family was taught to be, none of us could ever see this coming. To think that the man who promised a warm home and a warmer embrace would pass so quickly, even when he spent his last hours assuring us he was okay, that he would be here to receive us when we visited, it was a visceral shock to all of us who held him close to our hearts and our souls. We were unprepared. He was just as unprepared. So with a heavy heart and heavier grief, we seek any help you are willing to offer. For all we could not do in his life, we want to grant in his death.
