Support for Emily and Kaylee During Difficult Time
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
In January 2024, my niece Emily and her wife Kaylee found out they were expecting TWINS! They were over the moon excited, and so were our families!
They were able to put some final touches on the nursery before Emily was admitted to Children’s Hospital on June 27 for monitoring.
On June 30, with little notice, the babies decided it was time for their birthday party. Emily was rushed into delivery for a c-section with Kaylee by her side.
Born at 30 weeks and 3 days…
Nora Lynn Mathiowetz was born at 6:40 p.m., weighing 3lbs and 9oz.
Luca Dean Mathiowetz was born at 6:42 p.m., weighing 1lb and 9oz.
The Lord blessed them with a short amount of time together as a family of four. Luca had the most beautiful eyes and so much curly hair. He was baptized with his sister Nora before being called into Heaven surrounded by his sister and mommies.
Nora is currently in the NICU on her own journey and is expected to be there for at least 8-10 weeks. She’s feisty but needs time and prayers to grow stronger! She has a full head of dark hair and precious eyes and has her parents wrapped around her tiny fingers already.
This has been an unimaginable time for them (and our families). Baby Luca was a beacon of hope and joy during his brief time in this world. The name Luca means “bringer of light,” and his light shines brightly from Heaven! They are now faced with the many challenges of grieving a loss while celebrating Nora and addressing the medical and financial burdens ahead.
Your generosity, whether through donations or PRAYERS, will help them focus on healing and Baby Nora. No contribution is too small, and every bit of support is deeply appreciated.
It will help cover the following:
• Medical bills and NICU expenses
• Funeral and memorial costs
• Hotel stays and basic living expenses
Your kindness means more to us than words can express!
With love and gratitude!
