Support for Duma Explorer Guides, Cooks & Porters

Covid-19 has been disastrous for our Kilimanjaro and safari staff, many of whom depend on trips for daily allowances and tips. Our trip staff are usually the heads of their households and they often support large extended families as well. At Duma we have approximately 150 trip staff including guides, cooks and porters, and many of them have been with us for a decade or longer. We are fortunate that some of our clients have been in touch recently asking how they can provide additional support for the guides and other staff they had during their trips. Krishnan, one of our repeat clients,  and I decided to create this gofundme in order to get additional funds directly into the hands of our staff and their families to help their emergency needs. We understand this is an unprecedented time for everyone, but your support will make a huge difference in Tanzania. Anything you can give will be appreciated and will go a long way in Tanzania. They do not have access to government support or loans in Tanzania and must rely on the goodwill of others to get their families through the next several months.
