On April 28th, heaven gained one of the biggest angels but the world lost a great man and a hero. Duke Bekaert was a beloved husband, father, uncle, friend and so much more. He was an icon in our small-town desert community and for almost every child in town, come Christmas-time, he was magic. Next to his beautiful wife Phyllis, his biggest joy in life was his daughter Jessica. I know he would wish that they were taken care of during this trying time and if you knew Duke, you knew he would be the first to help absolutely anybody. Prayers for his family throughout this loss.
