- Hi everyone, my name is Donald. I’m writing this because my brother Charlie and I have hit a crossroads where we need to ask our community for a helping hand. Recently, our lives were turned upside down when Charlie was diagnosed with cancer.
The Challenge As Charlie undergoes treatment, getting to his medical appointments safely and comfortably has become our top priority. At the same time, we are working hard to keep our household running and cover our mounting bills.
Unfortunately, our current lack of reliable transportation has become a major roadblock. Relying on a failing car is no longer sustainable. It puts Charlie’s health at risk due to his weakened immune system and fear the car may break down in these frigid temperatures makes it incredibly difficult for us to maintain a steady work schedule.
The Goal We are seeking to raise $3500- $5000 to purchase a modest, reliable used vehicle. This car will be a literal lifeline for us, used for:
Medical Care: Getting Charlie to every oncology appointment and treatment session on time.
Stability: Allowing usto get to work reliably
Essentials: Handling basic needs like grocery shopping and pharmacy pickups that are currently a struggle.
