Hi, my name is Domonique Mitchell. On December 2nd, my water broke unexpectedly, and my world changed in an instant. The doctors diagnosed me with PPROM—Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes—and told me I should consider terminating my pregnancy. They explained that my baby might not survive the next 30 days or could be born with serious lung problems and other complications. Despite the risks, I chose to continue with my pregnancy because I believe my faith will guide me through this journey.
Since then, life has been incredibly challenging. I haven’t been able to work as much as I did with my last pregnancy, and saving for the future has become nearly impossible. Weekly doctor visits and the need to call off work have made it hard to keep up with my responsibilities. Recently, my doctors recommended that I go on bed rest and stay in the hospital until I deliver my baby boy. This is especially difficult because I have a toddler at home and I’m used to being a very active mother.
A lot of things right now are unknown, urgent, and unexpected. If you can donate anything, it will be deeply appreciated. Your support will help me cover expenses while I’m unable to work and allow me to focus on my health and my baby’s well-being. Thank you for being here for me and my family during this difficult time.
