After 8 years and thousands of dollars later, my mother was deported after being in the U.S. for 35 years. In search of a better future for her mother and sisters, she sacrificed her childhood to provide for her family. She is 1 of 5 daughters. She crossed the Rio Grande as a 14-year-old and established herself in Bakersfield, California, and became a mother of 3. Through hard times as a single mother, she remained an honest woman and provided for her children. A superwoman like many of you. At age 21, her oldest daughter was able to file for her residency. It was a lengthy process that eventually turned into 8 years of no updates, no progress but several lawyer fees.
Recently, other family members used a new attorney and started getting approved in less than a year, we knew something was not right. We began to reach out to her lawyer and they sent her to the Texas border to "finalize her application". She passed her tests but the application was filed as a residency but needed pardons. This mistake is the reason why my mother is now in Mexico. They put a 10-year ban on her case. I am asking for your help to raise money for her lawyer fees, and her stay in Mexico. After 3 months of being there, I visited her hometown of Mexico where I got to see her living conditions. It's unlivable and not safe. Please help me with anything you can donate so we can better accommodate her stay while we fight this 10-year ban.
My mother is a kind-hearted, religious, hard-working, businesswoman. She's been mowing yards for 15 years. I have literally seen her take her shirt off her back for others. I've seen her pull to the side of the road to help someone change a tire. I've seen her under mobile homes fixing busted pipes, take a transmission out of a car. I've seen her sing at her church choir for over 20 years. I see her pray over others and stress about everyone around her. I need your help. Let's help a strong woman stand on her feet while being somewhere without everything she has worked so hard for over the last years. Help me bless someone who has never asked and always worked to provide and make sure everyone else at her table is eating. Anything helps, even if it's $1 and a prayer. Please help me bring a mother, a grandmother, a wife, a friend, back home. Help me fight this hard fight. She has shown me to be a good worker, grateful for any dollar that I make, and to NEVER take advantage of others. To be kind and loving to everyone even when it is hard to do. I really need your help, and if you can't donate I will be having a fundraiser event where we will be able to provide a haircut service, good drinks, great food and more. Everyone stay blessed and pray for our family.
