Hi everyone,

My name is Joyce, and I am writing this with a heart that is both broken and grateful.

Just over a week ago, my daughter Demetra Beers, her boyfriend Micheal Betts, and their baby girl moved into their new apartment, full of excitement and hope for a fresh start. Tragically, last night their apartment caught fire. Thankfully, they were not home and are physically safe—but the fire was severe, and they lost everything. Their home, their belongings, baby items, clothes, furniture, keepsakes, and all the Christmas and birthday gifts they had just received are gone.

As a mother and grandmother, it’s devastating to watch my child and her family face such a sudden and overwhelming loss.

I am asking for help on their behalf to support them during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward: Clothing and shoes for all three of them, Baby essentials (diapers, wipes, clothes, toys, furniture), temporary housing needs, replacing basic household items and necessities, and helping them get back on their feet as they rebuild their lives.
