Support for Debbie’s battle with MS
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt request to help my sister, Debbie, who has been courageously battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since her mid-20s. After giving birth to her son, Ryan, Debbie’s health began to decline, and over the years, MS has taken a significant toll on her mobility. In her late 30s, she was also diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, adding another layer of challenge to an already difficult situation.
Debbie’s quality of life has become severely limited. Most days, she doesn’t leave her bedroom because it’s too exhausting and dangerous for her to go up and down the stairs to reach the kitchen or living room. A simple task, like getting a meal, has become an overwhelming ordeal and the cost of installing a chairlift is out of reach for them. Her husband Malcolm does everything he possibly can for her 24/7. The strain of getting her up and down has taken a toll on him as well.
For Debbie to have any semblance of normalcy and independence, the addition of a chairlift to her home is essential. The expense is high, and unfortunately, her insurance doesn’t cover this life-changing equipment.
Debbie has always been the first to offer support and help to others, even when she’s been struggling herself. Now, it’s our chance to show her the same kindness and generosity she’s given so freely.
The cost of the chairlift plus the electrical work needed is $20,000 and any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in her life. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help.
Thank you for your love and support. Together, we can improve Debbie’s quality of life and help her regain a sense of independence and dignity.
With gratitude,
