Support for David’s Family in Valencia

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Joanna Iwan, and I am an employee at Hyatt. Originally from Poland, I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt request for your support for a valued colleague of ours, David, who works as a bartender at Eastway Brasserie.

As many of you may know, Valencia, Spain, was devastated by catastrophic flooding at the end of October. Tragically, the floods claimed at least 95 lives and displaced entire communities. David’s family, who live in Valencia, was severely affected by this disaster. They lost their family home, their business, and most of what they had worked so hard to build.

This situation is deeply personal to me, as I know the emotional and financial toll it must be taking on David and his loved ones. In times like these, we must come together to support one another. That’s why, alongside Kasia from PDE, I’ve organized this fundraising effort to help David’s family as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.

The funds we raise will go directly to David’s family to help them cover urgent expenses. This includes temporary housing, replacing essential belongings, and helping with living expenses as they work to get back on their feet.

We will be accepting donations until Saturday, November 30th. No contribution is too small, and every donation will make a meaningful impact in helping David’s family during this difficult time.
