Hello, my name is David Fisher, and I’m reaching out with the heaviest heart—something I never imagined I’d have to do. I’m a single father to two beautiful children, ages 6 and 9, and they are truly my everything. Every breath I take, every struggle I face, is for them.

But right now… I’m scared. I’m tired. And I’m out of options.

When Life Changes Overnight

A few years ago, everything changed. A serious back and neck injury left me battling constant, unbearable pain. I went from being a strong, working dad to someone who struggles just to get through the day. The pain doesn’t stop—it’s 24/7—and it’s robbed me of my ability to work and provide.

I’ve applied for disability benefits, but the system moves slowly. We’re still waiting—months without answers, without relief. And in the meantime, life keeps moving: the rent is due, the fridge needs filling, and my children still deserve laughter, warmth, and safety.

Their mother is gone. No support. No help. Just me—standing between my kids and the unthinkable. I do everything I can to keep them smiling, to keep their world from falling apart, but every day feels like I’m running out of time.
