Darryl Edward Kay lost his life suddenly and unexpectedly to a heart condition on March 6, 2021, leaving behind his wife Melanie and their two precious daughters. He was just 40 years old.
Darryl was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He worked as an Educational Assistant at Clarke Road Secondary School, and he also worked part-time at the Salvation Army Village in the ASD and Respite programs. He treasured the friendships he made in his workplaces.
Darryl was a gentleman and always had a smile on his face. His positive attitude and refusal to submit to adversity were inspiring to everyone around him. Darryl put others' needs before his own, stopping at nothing to help those around him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Melanie is now left with the emotional, uphill battle of raising their two daughters on her own. Melanie is a strong and loving mother and if anyone can do this, she can! But, that doesn't mean she doesn't need our help.
Please help us raise money to help with Darryl's funeral costs and to support Melanie and their two young daughters. Any amount is helpful.
Melanie de Graaf is the beneficiary.
Whether you can help or not, please take some time to read up on SCAD (spontaneous coronary artery dissection). SCAD is not widely understood and is often misdiagnosed.
