On December 14, 2025, in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain, Daniel J. Rawson answered his final call, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. His passing leaves a profound void, but his extraordinary life and service continue to inspire all who knew him.

Daniel was a devoted Husband, father, man of God, brother, Chief Fire Officer, US Navy veteran, and dedicated DoD firefighter. For nearly twenty years, he answered the call with courage, integrity, and compassion, protecting communities and military installations around the world. A trusted leader and mentor, he was relied upon in moments of uncertainty and crisis.

Throughout his career, Daniel received numerous awards and recognitions reflecting his dedication and excellence. Among these, he was named American Legion Firefighter of the Year in 2024, one of the highest distinctions in the profession, and most recently recognized as NAVSTA Rota’s Junior Civilian of the Quarter for 2024.

While his loss is deeply felt, Daniel’s legacy endures—in the lives he saved, the firefighters he inspired, and the family he cherished. By standing with his loved ones now, we honor a life rooted in faith, leadership, service, and selflessness, ensuring his remarkable legacy continues.

Dan is survived by his wife Sandra and his 3 wonderful girls Gianna 15, London 13 and Azara 9. We thank everyone for their support and prayers during this incredibly challenging time.
