Hi everyone,

My name is Danielle, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my mom, who has become extremely sick and is now unable to walk. Watching her lose the ability to do the most basic things on her own has been one of the hardest experiences of our lives.

My mom has always been an incredibly strong and selfless person, someone who would give everything she had to help anyone in need. But now she is the one who needs help, and the truth is that I can’t give her the care she needs by myself, and my big sister has been doing as much as she can.

She is currently on Medicare, but unfortunately the type of at-home care she requires isn’t covered. The other option, a caregiver facility, is heartbreakingly expensive and also not covered by insurance. Because of this, she’s left without access to the daily support she desperately needs, from help with mobility and personal care to simply having someone present to ensure her safety.

I’m hoping to raise enough money to hire a qualified caregiver who can come to her home and help with the basic human needs that everyone deserves: dignity, safety, and comfort. Even a few hours of professional care each day would completely change her quality of life.
