Danielle Matthews, known as Danny to everyone in her community, is a devoted mother of seven with a heart of gold. She’s always been the person who puts others first, whether she’s cooking a meal for friends or making sure her family is cared for. Danielle’s life changed forever when she lost her sons, Gerald Bogan and Davon Smith, to senseless violence—both taken far too soon. Gerald and Davon were happy young men, full of promise and loved deeply by their family and friends. Their loss has left a hole in Danielle’s heart and in the lives of everyone who knew them.

On top of this unimaginable grief, Danielle is still recovering from two strokes she suffered recently. The emotional and physical toll has made it difficult for her to manage daily life and the many expenses that have come with these tragedies. She now faces funeral costs, medical bills, counseling, and the challenge of keeping her household afloat while she heals. Danielle’s strength and kindness have always been a source of comfort to those around her, and now she needs support more than ever.
