How it all started, my cousin at the age of had 45 had open heart surgery tricuspid valve replacement on August 14th 2023, on August 21st she had heart failure and a pacemaker placement. July 23rd of 2024 which was the most recent. Her short term disability has run out.
In detail, My cousins body was rejecting the sternum wires. Was causing inflammation throughout her body. So they had to reopen her previous chest incision and remove the sternum wires. She has lupus so it caused a lot of pain and swelling. So 2023 was the open heart surgery, tricuspid valve replacement. In August a week later She went into heart failure and they did a pacemaker placement. Now July 23,2024 last week was the removal of the sternum wires her body was rejecting. She’s having blood work done, blood cultures, MRI, ultrasounds, CT scans weekly in addition to her regular Dr. appts.
She has two previous surgeries she’s trying to pay off and has had to hire attorney's to get Her SSI and SSDI. After all 3 surgeries and all three dr.’s not allowing her to return to work until she’s medically able which at this point isn’t in the near future. Anything you can do even sharing helps!
