Support for Contractor After Tragic Loss

I have a contractor that works a hitch schedule where he travels to Colorado from Oklahoma and works 14 days in a row and then flies home and is off for 14 days. During his last hitch, he came home to find his wife passed away unexpectedly from a blood clot. Not only that, but they had 7 dogs together that he just had to drop off at a shelter as he cannot take care of them without her due to his work schedule. On top of dealing with the death of his wife and loss of his dogs, he's working to sell his house, plan a funeral and work to regain some sense of normalcy. My heart breaks for him and my goal is to raise at least $5000 to help with these costs and to donate to the dog shelter that he just dropped his 7 dogs off to ensure they find good homes (it is a no kill shelter). If you can donate anything at all, it would be so greatly appreciated.
