Support for Chiedu Nwanze's Children

Our dear friend and minister Chiedu Nwanze sadly passed away suddenly on January 4th, 2023 after a long battle with illness.

My name is Modupe Awolola and I met Chiedu and his late wife Bose through my husband, Wole Awolola. Our friendship grew over the years and we became very close family friends.

For years we lived across the road from each other and even after moving house, our children grew up in each other's homes. They became a part of our extended family and since then, I have been an aunty to their children Chidi and Amaka who are now orphaned.

We thank God that he lived a life of impact. Chiedu was a loving, caring and selfless person, a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle and a good friend to so many. As a worship leader, he gave his all to ministry, blessed the Christian community and touched many lives with his musical talent and personality.

Chiedu was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. This page has been created by Chiedu’s friends to reach as many friends and well-wishers as possible as it’s our turn to help provide a springboard for his children’s future. As mentioned above, sadly, Amaka and Chidi lost their mother in 2009 and now face the devastating reality of their last surviving parent being ripped from their lives.

The money raised will be placed in a trust fund for his three children (Ayomide, Amaka and Chidi). Upon maturation, the funds will be distributed as a one-off lump sum payment to each child’s account.

We would like to stress that Chiedu’s family have not asked us to create this GoFundMe page but we did seek their consent.

The Nwanze family are overwhelmed by the support shown and can’t thank you all enough for the outpouring of love and prayers during this time.
