Support for Chef Mario's Family in Need

Dear Friends and Community Members,

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of our beloved chef, Mario. In February, Mario suffered a massive brain aneurysm and had been in a coma on life support ever since. Despite the incredible efforts of the medical team, Mario’s sadly passed away on (May 8th).

Mario wasn't just a chef to us - he was family. His infectious laughter, culinary expertise, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone here at Shelsky’s and our community. Now that Mario is no longer with us, we’re coming together to support his family during this unimaginably difficult time.

Mario leaves behind a loving wife who was nine months pregnant when he fell ill, as well as a precious two-year-old son. Tragically, they do not have health or life insurance, leaving them facing overwhelming financial burdens in addition to their profound grief.

As Mario’s extended family, we’re reaching out to our community of customers, friends, and neighbors for help. We’ve set up this GoFundMe campaign to provide financial support to Mario’s family as they navigate this heartbreaking journey ahead. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
