My name is Chanel, and I am currently 39 years old, we are expecting our baby after a long and difficult journey. I have faced five miscarriages in the past, and this is the farthest I have ever carried a pregnancy. Because of my high blood pressure and the risk of preeclampsia, I am considered high-risk and will need to be induced at 38 weeks. Throughout this pregnancy, I have not been able to work, and I have had to rely on the kindness and support of not my husband who has been breaking his back for me but also family and friends to get by.

Recently, we moved into a new home to create a safe space for our little one but right now, I only have a bed to sleep in. We have no furniture or household necessities, and the financial strain has been overwhelming. I want to provide my baby with everything they need, but the challenges of my health and the costs of preparing for a new life have made it difficult to do so on our own.
