It is with heavy hearts—but also with a lot of love, laughter, and eye‑rolling at the stories we could tell—that we share the journey of an incredible woman: an extraordinary mother, devoted wife, loyal friend, and world‑class troublemaker in the best possible way.

In her 50th year, she is taking on a terminal cancer diagnosis with the same attitude she brings to everything: stubborn determination, a wicked sense of humour, and the ability to make everyone else feel better even when she’s the one who shouldn’t have to. She remains the same vibrant force of nature we all know—the one who could brighten a room, charm a complete stranger, and somehow turn every serious moment into something we’d be laughing about later.

She graduated in 2002 and began her paramedic career with Middlesex‑London Paramedic Services before joining York, where she spent most of her career helping people on some of their toughest days. Whether she was calming chaos, mentoring rookies, or cracking jokes at 3 a.m. on night shift, she made every team she worked with better (and infinitely more entertained).

And before anyone wonders - yes, Ceilidh did want to help write this, but we all know that she has no idea how to get back into her email lol! But she’s here in spirit.

Above everything, her greatest joy is her family.

She is a devoted mom to Allison, Archer, and Marshall—three kids who inherited her charm, her humour, and her ability to keep everyone on their toes. She shares a beautiful life with her husband Josh, who has been her rock, her support, and the person still pretending not to see all the Amazon deliveries at the door.

As her illness progresses, her focus is on making sure her kids are supported, encouraged, and set up for the future—preferably one where they follow their dreams and make good choices and maybe, just maybe, stop leaving their shoes in front of the door for everyone to trip over!

This fundraiser has been created to support her children’s education—something she has always been deeply proud of and determined to ensure. Every contribution goes directly toward helping them reach the bright futures she’s always imagined for them.
