Hi friends and family!

As you all know, we're expecting a baby (boy!) in February of 2026. The decision to have another baby naturally—rather than through adoption or surrogacy—was a really hard one. Last pregnancy, I dealt with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG), on top of having type 1 diabetes, POTS, and Graves' Disease (what a fun combo, right?). We knew there was a possibility I would get HG again, but we decided to go forward, making a game plan with my medical team and promising one another that if I were to get sick again, we would be more open and honest with those around us about how they can support us.

Unfortunately, at 5 weeks, HG hit once again. The sickness made me unable to work, so I have been on short-term disability since the beginning of July. The really harsh reality is that, because I used short-term disability during my pregnancy, I will not get to use it for my maternity leave. I will actually OWE my employer money to take time off! Crazy. With Logan being in school full-time and being a full-time stay-at-home dad, this will be a huge financial hit for our family.

SO. We are asking for financial support from those who are willing and able. And if you can't or would rather not help in this way, we would love just as much to be in your prayers for: my health and our baby's health, strength and support for Logan, and lots of love for Ivan. And please, if you've already done something for our family prior to this, please know that that is 100% sufficient and we appreciate it SO much.
