My name is Angie and I am writing on behalf of my uncle Marvin Carcamo and his wife. They are devoted parents and hardworking members of our community, caring for their middle school-aged daughter. On Wednesday morning, while on his way to drop off his daughter at school, my uncle was detained by ICE. Later that same morning, his wife was involved in a car accident while driving to work and is currently unable to work. Both of them are honest, hardworking people who have been working in the cleaning services industry for years.

My uncle has always dreamed of owning a painting company and had recently begun taking steps to make that dream a reality. The night before he was detained, we were working together on developing his brand, and we had just created a website for his business while figuring out how Google Business works. Due to these recent events, both sources of income have temporarily stopped. They came to the United States in pursuit of a better life and have lived and worked with dedication and integrity.
