Healing and Love for Alethea Fourlas & Jaime Rods

Hello.  I'm Ali's 1st cousin Lia Fourlas.  Our family and I we are asking those that love her and Jaime to support them in this most difficult of times.  Ali endured long bed rest and weeks of dialysis in hopes that her baby would be carried to term and born healthy.  Jaime was by her side.

Baby Calista was born on 8/18/19 at 25 weeks and 6 days.  She weighed exactly one pound.   As her family, we lived each day with hope and sent up prayers for our newest and tiniest member.  We watched over her scared and loving parents.  We thank all of you that prayed and encouraged along with us.  As the days turned into weeks, our family was elated and hopeful that baby Calista was making progress.

On 9/10/19 Calista had her 4th surgery to repair her tiny bowel.  On 9/11/19 she had to have surgery again, as her bowel was not completely fixed.  Calista did not survive this surgery.

Ali posted the following message on 9/12/19:

"Our baby girl was born on 8/18/19 at 10:48am and she left this physical world on 9/11/19 at 11:58am. She had a short 24 days here with us and 25 weeks 6 days in the womb. She loved to kick her little feet and sleep with her hands up and suck on her fingers. The first time she opened her eyes was to her daddy’s voice. She had her daddy’s nose and ears, mommy’s lips and eyes. We will love you forever and ever Calista Eliza-Jean Rodriguez! We would die a million times for you baby girl. There is no greater pain than this I can assure you. "

Ali has not been able to work for the last 2 months and now carries the heaviest of grief.  We know money can't solve anything or remove the sadness but it can give Ali time to heal with a little less worry about worldly things.
