On August 12, 2025, Brooks McDaniel was born at just 27 weeks after his mother, Beth McDaniel, experienced severe preeclampsia and heart failure. This sudden and traumatic event led to an emergency c-section, and both Beth and Brooks have been fighting hard ever since. Brooks is currently in the NICU in Charleston, relying on CPAP for breathing and being fed through an OG tube. He is expected to remain in the hospital until around November, facing each day with incredible strength for such a tiny baby.
Beth, a dedicated paramedic in Dillon County, is now recovering from her own medical emergency. She is unable to return to work until her cardiologist gives her the all-clear, and the timeline for her recovery is still uncertain. Despite her own challenges, Beth travels back and forth to Charleston every day to be with her newborn son. The financial strain of travel costs and everyday bills is growing, especially while she is out of work. Beth has always been the first to help others in her community, and now she and Brooks need support more than ever.
Beth and Brooks are deeply grateful for any amount you can give. Your generosity will help cover travel expenses and essential bills, allowing Beth to focus on her recovery and Brooks’s care. Thank you for rallying around this family during such a critical time.
