On Friday, October 3rd, Amanda found her partner and father of their two beautiful children barely conscious on the floor after what was thought to be a stomach bug. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had gone septic due to MRSA.

Brian underwent heart surgery in April, and the infection had spread to his heart, attaching to the replaced valve and circulating through his bloodstream, affecting other organs.

Over the past several days, Brian has remained in the ICU — unresponsive, but not without hope.
