Support for Brendan's Family During Search and Funeral Costs

Donation protected
My name is Joshua, and my wife's name is Jessica. This is our son Brendan Arrington he is 20 years young!

We decided to go to Carl Blackwell lake for a family fun day which turned into a tragedy. Our 20 year old decided to jump in the kayak and take off. Of we didn't think nothing of it hell he is 20 a good swimmer smart as a whip. He will be fine we thought well that couldn't have been further from the truth.

About 20 minutes after he launched I turned around to just check on him, and he was in the middle of the lake. I thought boy he is going to have a heck of a time getting back because of the wind, but he can do it he is strong and young...

About 30 minutes later my wife starts panicking, I can see Brendan anymore and I can't see the kayak please go check on him. I hop in the other kayak and take off following where he went and didn't see him.
I get rescued from the stillwater fire department because the wind was brutal coming back. BUT BY GOD I WAS GOING TO MAKE BACK.

So I am with stillwater fire and we cruise the shore looking for the kayak or any sign of him. We come around the bend to the west of the swim area directly across the lake.
We find the kayak fully submerged in water, but no sign of Brendan. At this point I am freaking out there's the kayak where the hells my son.
I start running up and down the shore looking for footprints any sign that he got out of the water, but there was absolutely nothing. No footprints no paddle no speaker no phone no sign of life.
At this point ohp take me back to the swim area to be reunited with my family.
So now what can I do my son is on the other side of the lake. wtf! So ohp brings out drones with thermal scans with a 10 a 15 and a 20 mile radius. Nothing is found. They bring in a dive team and expensive sonar equipment.

At this point they are still searching the water for a body. It is a 100% body recovery mission at this point.

He has been missing since 3 pm Sunday afternoon.

We need food and gas money while they search my son. I will not leave that lake until I have a answer. He came with us and God knows he will leave with us one way or another.
Then there's going to be funeral arrangements to be made down the road.
Anything will help.
I have carpentry experience electrical experience plumbing tape mud drywall interior painting exterior painting. I will be willing to work for anyone.

Also we are going to have a cookout on Friday around noon for all the rescuers, and everyone involved. If you just want to come out and say a prayer come eat thank the people that's helping with the search and rescue.
There will be hamburgers hotdogs chips baked beans soda water.
We are going to try to have it a the picnic area pavilion by the east boat ramp.

Please come if you'd like everyone is invited and there will be plenty.

God bless every one of you for your thoughts and prayers and for your generosity.

Thanks!

Update: as some of you are already aware our son was recovered from the lake at around 8 pm. We are still not sure what exactly happened out there. My only hope is the kayak hit him in the head knocking him unconscious prior to drowning. Your continued prayers and support are greatly appreciated.

As of right now the BBQ is on hold so we can deal with this in a timely manner. Thanks for understanding.
God bless.
