My name is Belle, and our family lives in Waialua in 2 units on Waialua Beach Road. On March 20th after 1 AM we were shocked to notice water inside our home rising quickly. With no time to think we grabbed our pets, as we drove out of the flash flood our truck stalled in the process.

We barely escaped with our lives and

are so grateful. Later our home was photographed & featured by The NY Times, mud levels showing at one point floodwaters rose close to the ceiling, and now 2 cars are inoperable. Our home is currently unlivable and we had to throw away majority of our belongings.

Reed’s mother, Ragan had lent us her car and unfortunately it is completely flooded. She is a hardworking property manager and needs a vehicle to get to work.

As we begin the process of cleanup and starting over, the loss is overwhelming. With time consuming renovations ahead, we’re asking for help to return to stability- all funds raised will be used by our family to secure temporary housing, purchase basic necessities, and cover car costs (repairs, mechanic work to get 2 damaged vehicles running or buy another vehicle)

Donations will greatly benefit our family of 4 (Belle Younkeman, my partner Reed Myerscough, & his sister India Myerscough, their mother Ragan Myerscough ) while rebuilding our lives. We are so grateful for the outpouring of community support and all the people showing up as we cleanup. The kindness and community support reminds us of why we love the North Shore.
