Hey y’all. That cute baby you see in the photo? That’s baby Noah. The first thing you should know about Noah is that he is a fighter. The 2nd? At just 2 months old he has had to take on RSV which on its own is hard on little baby bodies, but while he was vulnerable and going to the doctor more often, he developed pneumonia, then, whooping cough AND the flu came for him too. As hard as he has been fighting, all those things together have landed him in the Pediatric ICU. Needless to say, baby Noah’s family is going through a lot. My name is Mel Smiling. My husband Dean is Noah’s great uncle. Dean and I have been in this situation before - watching our baby fight for his life, and it’s one of the hardest things a parent can go through. Baby Noah has the best family. A mom - Meredith, a dad - Justin, and the greatest big brother - Gabe, who are praying hard and staying by his side. Last night Noah was moved to a hospital out of town, that was better equipped to help him fight. We know all too well, the toll that takes on a family. I want to help and I know I’m not the only one. I would love to take at least some worry away from Meredith and Justin, who are missing work, driving extra miles, and spending extra money on food - something they never imagined would happen to their sweet family - by creating this fund to hopefully help in covering some of those costs and lost income and thinking ahead to insurance deductibles, and all the medical bills. I know times are tough. We are all struggling in some way. I also know most of us would sacrifice what we could if it meant taking some of the stress away from good people with a sweet baby. Please do what you can, if you can only put a good thought or prayer out into the universe for baby Noah, we will take them. If you can contribute a few dollars, Meredith and Justin would be grateful for that too .
