Support for Baby Micah Fields

On January 29, 2021, my niece, Alorha Thacker, had to have an emergency c-section to deliver her son, Micah Aaron Fields. He was born at 25 weeks, and weighed only 1 pound 8 ounces. He was delivered at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, almost 3 hours away from their home. He is a fighter and is currently do very well in the NICU. However, this is still a very emotional and stressful time for his parents and extended family.
This fundraiser is to raise money to support Alorha and Micah's father, Russell Fields, in being able to stay with their son in Atlanta without the added stress of finances. Money for gas, food, and hotel stays are the main issue right now. Russell and Alorha will need to take extended periods off from work and make the drive to and from Atlanta. We hope to raise enough so that Alorha can stay in Atlanta for extended periods to be with her baby.
Most importantly, Micah needs his mommy and daddy - to hear their voices and to know they are close by should anything happen.
Due to Covid-19 the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta is closed. This was a valuable resource for parents of sick children and Alorha and Russell do not have this option. This support will mean more to Alorha, Russell, and baby Micah than you will ever know. Any amount you can spare will not go wasted. Share this with friends and family, share this with your church.
