Support for Baby Isaiah and family

Dear Lakeview Family,

I am reaching out to you with heavy hearts to share the story of one of our beloved former students and the long journey she has had to endure. Fatima DeLaRosa, mother of Isaiah, and father Christian Santos Gonzalez, both who are fellow students of our school community, are facing a heartbreaking moment in their lives. Their son, Isaiah, was born in April 2024 and has been fighting every step of the way in the hospital since birth. Now, after months of medical care and immense love, Isaiah is scheduled to be extubated and moved to comfort care on Monday morning December 23, 2024.

This moment marks a profound and difficult change for the family, as Isaiah has never had the chance to be home with his parents. Instead, there has been many countless days and nights by his side at the hospital, hoping and praying for a miracle to come home. The decision to move him to comfort care is one that no parent should ever have to make, but it is a decision that comes with love and a desire to ease his suffering during this challenging time.

As a school community, we are coming together to support both Fatima DelaRosa, and Christian Santos Gonzalez, and both of their families as they navigate this difficult journey. We know that every family’s needs are different. They will face financial challenges that no one should have to bear alone. So lets come together as the LC Family we know and love to help support them.

Any contributions will go towards helping them cover any essential needs they may have as they spend these final days together, creating memories with Isaiah. Additionally, the funds will help with any unforeseen financial burdens they may face in the near future as their lives undergo profound change.
