Update on baby Daniel Friday Daniel is eating well and is going through bandage changes every day. He seems to be getting stronger every day he wants to do more of what is normal for him. God is so good. He still has a long way to go with surgeries and graphs. Meanwhile, mom and dad are still displaced living here at home with us. The parents have their rent paid for June, but will be here well until July without being able to work along with daily drives back-and-forth to Gainesville Shands. We are doing everything we can to help support our kids, but times are hard for all of us we have opened our home, making meals babysitting the other grandson but financially, we just cannot support another household bill to keep a roof over there heads for when they get back home to Kingsland Georgia. We are all doing our best and I know God is in control. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. We could not do it without you. Baby Daniel had a second surgery today. They did two skin graphs with his own skin off of his thighs. He seemed to be in really good spirits although he’s very sore. He has a long road ahead of him. He is very irritable. His wounds are starting to ooze and he goes for dressing changes every day. Still don’t have a next surgery date. going back-and-forth every day. Has a super upset tummy and lots of mucus in his lungs. The burn surgical team said that his burns today are worse than when they originally assess them. He will be in the hospital minimum of a month. He will have to undergo at least four surgeries so please keep praying for this very strong, beautiful child thank you and God bless. Update: Sunday. Sunday night Daniel had a good afternoon. Today was very responsive, but will be going into the operating room in the morning to have his wounds scrubbed and assess what needs to be done as far as skin graft go please keep praying for Daniel. I know tomorrow he will be in pain, good night and God bless Daniel has developed pneumonia and is going to have to have the feeding tube place back in because he is not taking anything by mouth. I received a panic call from my daughter Karrie saying that her baby had fallen into a fire pit and was being life flighted to Shands Burn unit in Gainesville. Their family could use some help as they have to travel back-and-forth from Kingsland Georgia to Gainesville to stay at big Shands with baby Daniel. This is going to be a long road to recovery as the baby will be in the hospital for months and require skin graphs. Karrie is a stay at home mom her boyfriend Mark is the sole provider for the home so between him having to be in Georgia to work And someone to be at the hospital with baby Daniel is going to be very difficult for the family.
