Yesterday, my brother Christian and sister-in-law Adair welcomed their son Arlo, who arrived with several serious complications. Throughout the pregnancy, Arlo was considered high-risk, and shortly after birth, he was taken straight to the NICU for urgent care.

Doctors found air outside his lungs that continued to grow, and he needed a chest tube to remove it. He is now stable from that procedure, but his medical team has shared new concerns: Arlo’s kidneys have cysts and are not functioning well, and there is a high chance he will need dialysis. The family is meeting with specialists as they learn more.

Christian and Adair are balancing life in the NICU while caring for their daughter Juniper, and the emotional and financial strain is already significant. This fundraiser will help with:
