If you don't know by now, my placenta tore and ruptured at 33 weeks, putting me and baby Aaliyah in danger. I arrived at Somerset Hospital, and within 45 minutes, they had us on a helicopter to Lexington. When we arrived, I was 3 cm dilated. After 19 hours and a few scares with her heart dropping and blood sugar fluctuating, baby Aaliyah Nelly Renea was born premature at 4 pounds 11 oz with a head full of beautiful hair. I only got to hold her for one minute before they rushed her off to the NICU. Hopefully, in the next few days, I'll get to hold her. Her arms and legs are shorter than normal, but they don't affect her. She is currently dependent on oxygen; she can't breathe on her own right now. They are trying to wean her down. She has a feeding tube and an IV in her umbilical cord. The nurses say she is feisty and loves her pacifier. A lot of emotions at this time. I am supposed to be getting into the Ronald McDonald House; however, they are currently full. I will be discharged before her. I really don't have any funds to stay in a hotel, and they said I can't stay in the lobby. I never ask anyone for help unless I really need it. I need any and all the help I can get right now. Gas, food, and hotel on top of getting baby Aaliyah premature clothes. This was all sudden and somewhat traumatizing for me. I have never had to go through anything like this in my life. If you know me, I'm built strong and give anything to anyone in need. This has my stress levels so high. I need help; if you could lighten the financial stress so I can focus on baby Aaliyah, I'd be so grateful...
