My name is Rosa Yap and I am the proud daughter of Hiram and Athela Verna Yap. Over the past year, my mom has unfortunately suffered from a few health scares and setbacks--the most recent being a broken hip which has left her immobile, and a bout with pneumonia. When her health improved enough to be discharged from the hospital, we welcomed her back home with open and loving arms. We thought that her health would continue to improve as she recovered at home surrounded with love, attentive care, and the support of the hospice program, but this was not meant to be. My mom raised me to be strong, to find a way to accomplish what is needed even when the path is not clear or paved. Most importantly, my mom taught me the importance of family. To love our family, support them, and to be the light when times are the hardest. As I try to accept the deterioration in my mom's health, it is important that provide the best care I can for her, and begin Celebration of Life arrangements. I thank you for visiting this page dedicated to the most important, loving, and special person I know. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated and will be used solely for her care now, and for funeral arrangements, including a tombstone.
