Help My Parents Navigate a New Chapter with Love and Dignity
Over 20 years ago, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Since then, he and my mom have walked an unimaginably difficult road side by side—with courage, love, and unwavering commitment. Through every illness, injury, surgery, and setback, my mom has been his rock and caregiver, and my dad has remained a model of strength, positivity, and perseverance in the face of lifelong disease.
My parents have always been the kind of people who give more than they take—dedicated parents and grandparents, selfless friends, and tireless volunteers in their church and community. They have built a life centered on kindness, generosity, and service to others.
Recently, my dad’s health took a sudden and devastating turn. A recent infection spread to his bloodstream, leading to a serious case of sepsis. After weeks of severe illness and medical intervention, it has become clear that he now requires full-time care in a long-term care facility.
This was not an easy decision—it means my parents will have to live apart for the first time in their decades together. It’s heartbreaking. But it is also necessary to ensure my dad receives the medical attention and therapies he needs to maintain his quality of life.
While our family is doing everything we can to support them emotionally and financially, the cost of care, medical bills, and past debts related to a lifetime of disability are overwhelming. They simply don’t have the financial resources to make this transition alone.
We’re asking for help.
Your donation will go toward:
• Ongoing medical expenses
• Long-term care facility costs
• Travel and support needs for my mom
• Basic household necessities
• Paying off past medical-related debts
Any amount—big or small—makes a difference. And if you can’t give financially, sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for showing up for two people who have spent their lives showing up for others.
With love and gratitude,
