For more than 15 years, Alberto and Yudina have built a life together rooted in love, sacrifice, and devotion to their three children. Alberto is a caring, supportive, responsible, and hardworking husband and father. He loves simple moments — watching movies together as a family and playing games with his children. Those everyday moments meant everything to him.

Alberto and Yudina came to the United States with one dream: to build a better future for their children. They believed in the promise of opportunity and worked tirelessly to give their kids the chance to dream big. For years, Alberto worked hard to support his family and proudly watched his children grow and thrive at Rolling Terrace Elementary School, Eastern Middle School, and Blair High School.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, after attending his required monthly immigration check-in in Silver Spring, Alberto was detained. What was supposed to be a routine appointment turned into a life-altering moment for this family.

Alberto is currently being held in a detention center in Louisiana. The emotional and mental toll of detention became overwhelming, and not wanting to put his family through prolonged uncertainty or costly legal battles with no guaranteed outcome, he made the heartbreaking decision to sign deportation papers. Even now, he is doing everything he can to stay in contact with Yudina and the children.

His absence has left a deep void in their home. Yudina and their three children miss him terribly. The children feel lost without their father’s daily presence, guidance, and love.

Yudina is now the sole provider for the household. She currently works a part-time job, but her income is not enough to cover the family’s essential expenses. She is actively searching for additional work while trying to support her children emotionally through this traumatic time.
