My name is Aaron, and for the past ten years, I’ve been a full-time caregiver for my family. I started caring for my grandparents when I was sixteen, and when they passed, I became the primary caregiver for my dad. I lost my grandmother two years ago, then my grandfather earlier this year, and now my dad is in the hospital with stage 4 cancer and cirrhosis of the liver. Because I’ve been caring for my family, I haven’t been able to work or build up savings.
