<div>My name is Aaron, and for the past ten years, I’ve been a full-time caregiver for my family. I started caring for my grandparents when I was sixteen, and when they passed, I became the primary caregiver for my dad. I lost my grandmother two years ago, then my grandfather earlier this year, and now my dad is in the hospital with stage 4 cancer and cirrhosis of the liver. The doctors aren’t sure how much time he has left, and I’m facing the possibility of being on my own for the first time. It’s all happening so fast, and I’m overwhelmed by the loss and uncertainty.

<div> Because I’ve been caring for my family, I haven’t been able to work or build up savings. I’ve tried applying for jobs, but it’s been difficult to find something that fits with my responsibilities at home. Now, with my dad in the hospital and things so uncertain, I’m doing my best to take care of myself and our cats, but it’s overwhelming. I’m also working on getting my driver’s license so I can expand my job search, but until things are more stable, I’m not sure what comes next.
