I'm here today in hopes of gathering some financial support for a very dear friend of mine and her family. I've known her for 20 years now, and she's always been so good to me that the least I can do is try to help her with what's going on in her life right now.

My friend is currently raising her 3 grandsons, 2 of whom have special needs, as well as a terminally ill husband that she cares for in their home. The children were born addicted, and with a mother still struggling in a life of addiction, my friend was given legal custody. My friend is trying so hard to come up with the funds to fully adopt the 3 boys, but due to them having different fathers, the state is requiring her to pay the filing fee of $800 per child, not including attorney fees. The children will not be entitled to any social security survivors benefits or anything if they are not fully adopted by my friend and her husband.
