The man responsible fled to Texas after killing her. He committed additional crimes there and played the victim. After years of waiting, he has finally been brought back to San Diego to face charges.
Now the family is preparing to sit in court and relive everything.
What hurts the most is knowing Mary Lou will never meet some of her grandchildren. Her children will never hear her voice again. The anger and heartbreak they carry is something no family should ever have to live with.
But they have come together and made one promise to each other: they will stand together and fight to make sure justice is served for their mother.
