In November 2022, our family’s life changed forever. A loving mother was taken from her children in a tragic act of violence in Pacific Beach. In the immediate aftermath, the family endured unimaginable grief and confusion. To make matters worse, her own son was initially accused and jailed for her death before being released. That experience caused deep emotional trauma that he is still struggling to overcome.
After committing this crime, the suspect fled to Texas, where he was later arrested for additional crimes and claimed insanity. He served time in a mental health facility there. Now, after his proceedings in Texas have concluded, he has finally been extradited back to San Diego to face charges for her murder.

But reopening this case has brought everything back to the surface. The grief, the trauma, and the instability that followed her death have not gone away. In many ways, they were never fully processed.
Her son continues to struggle emotionally and financially after being wrongfully accused and released with little support. He is a father to two young daughters who will grow up without their grandmother. The family is doing their best to hold themselves together while preparing for what could be a long and emotionally draining trial process.
We are asking for support to help with:
Travel to and from court hearings
Missed wages due to court attendance
Basic living support during this period of instability
Mental health and recovery support for her son
Preserving her memory and honoring her life
This GoFundMe is being organized on behalf of the family as they prepare to face this next chapter. They have already endured more than any family should. Now they need community support to help them stand strong during the trial and continue healing.
Any contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for standing with this family as they seek justice and peace for their mother.
