Support for a Family in Crisis: Help Needed

My Mother had a stroke in May 2023 and while in the hospital, she regained the ability to walk and some use of her arm, and was transferred to in-center rehab. At the rehab center, she again had a stroke. When I arrived at the ER, my Mother was non-responsive. The doctor showed me the CT scan and said the stroke area was bleeding and there was nothing they could do. They said she would expire within 48 hours. I knew my Mother wanted to go home and my Father had her transported home with hospice. My Mother laid in the bed for three days and woke up saying I love you. The next several weeks, she was able to drink thickened liquids and soft food.
Mom is still alive but unable to walk or move her left arm. She remains on hospice care at home.
My Dad, who is 78, took care of Mom: preparing meals, housework, shopping, cleaning her, giving medication. He truly did a great job even with his own medical issues.
Time has taken a toll on my Dad over the past year and they moved in with me so I could help with Mother’s care and still be able to work.
Dad ended up in the hospital and had to have major surgery due to issues with his biliary system. Doctors were convinced it was cancer but pathology said no. He is unable to assist in Mother’s care.
I have been unable to work due to having to care for my parents. I am not one to ask for help….. but at this point I have no choice.
I do plan to return to work as soon as possible.
