I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced. On December 29, 2025, my husband was unexpectedly detained by ICE, and in a single day, our lives were turned upside down.

My husband and I have always worked side by side during the agricultural season to provide for our family. Together, we made ends meet and did everything we could to give our children stability. Now that he is gone, I have become the sole provider for our four children, ages 15, 14, 9, and 3.

The agricultural season is currently slow, and with my husband no longer here, there is no income coming in. I am actively looking for work and applying wherever possible, but so far I have not been successful. In the meantime, I am struggling to cover basic necessities like rent, food, and household expenses.

The hardest part of all of this is watching my children try to understand what’s happening. They are scared, confused, and heartbroken. Every day they ask me when their dad is coming home.

I am humbly asking for help during this painful and uncertain time. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward supporting my children and helping us get through the coming months. Hoy me acerco a ustedes en uno de los momentos más difíciles que mi familia ha enfrentado. El 29 de diciembre de 2025, mi esposo fue detenido por ICE, y desde ese día nuestra vida cambió por completo.

Mi esposo y yo siempre hemos trabajado juntos durante la temporada agrícola para sacar adelante a nuestra familia. Unidos logramos cubrir nuestros gastos y brindar estabilidad a nuestros hijos. Ahora que él no está, me he convertido en la única responsable del hogar, cuidando y sosteniendo a nuestros cuatro hijos de 15, 14, 9 y 3 años.

Actualmente la temporada agrícola está baja y, sin mi esposo, no tenemos ningún ingreso. Estoy buscando trabajo activamente y aplicando donde puedo, pero hasta ahora no he tenido éxito. Mientras tanto, se me hace muy difícil cubrir necesidades básicas como la renta, la comida y los gastos del hogar.

Lo más doloroso de esta situación es ver a mis hijos tratar de entender lo que está pasando. Están asustados, confundidos y con el corazón roto. Todos los días me preguntan cuándo va a regresar su papá.

Con mucha humildad, les pido apoyo en este momento tan doloroso e incierto. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, nos ayudará a cubrir los gastos básicos y a salir adelante en los próximos meses.
