My family and I are going through an extremely difficult time, some things of which I won't share. The gist is, I am no longer able to work as a nurse, which was the career that supported my family completely. I've been unemployed since September and still haven't received unemployment due to their staffing. My husband and I filed for divorce in July and have separated. I incurred myriad expenses trying to fix the house to sell that was supposed to be our forever home as a family, including emptying out all of my retirement.

I have full custody of both my special needs children for various reasons. I'm a full-time student in an MHA program as well as earning PMP/PML certs through Cornell University, and taking the CNPR exam to become a certified pharm rep. I've gone bankrupt trying to fix all of this, and largely supporting my children on my own. The child support that would have helped starting in October was only paid for one month starting in January, so I am missing multiple back payments when I desperately need the help. I have been trying to sell everything I could from our previous home. I am completely starting over.

I am overwhelmed and have been feeling that I'm drowning with no hope. I've applied for so many jobs and had so many interviews. I just keep being turned away, even when told that I had been their "chosen candidate." My stress, despair, and disappointment and, most importantly, the ardent need to do the best thing for my children and make sure they have everything they need have led me to this place that I humiliatingly ask for help.

If you know me, you know how hard I've worked and everything I became to have my entire life pulled out from under my children and myself. It is not their burden to bear, and I am hoping for generosity that helps me pay our bills, including their medical bills from all their specialists and frequent appointments. I am grateful for any and all assistance. These funds will be used strictly for bills. Not one cent goes to anything extraneous or that doesn't directly benefit the boys.
