Hi my name is Colin and I"m reaching out during one of the hardest times of my life.

I'm a proud Papa to an energetic, funny and big-hearted 8-year old boy who is my entire world. For the past six years, I've been his main caregiver, the one who helps with homework, reads bedtime stories, cooks breakfast and cheers from the sidelines from soccer and swimming, watching him grow into such a kind and curious kid has been the greatest joy of my life. He's thriving, doing great in Grade 3, full of laughter and always waiting ready for the next adventure. My goal is simple, to make sure he continues to feel safe, loved and supported no matter what's happening around us. Having a strong sense of stability, a real home base who can always count on is so important for him right now and I'm determined to give him that.

Right now, his mother and I are in the process of finalizing a new custody arrangement. We both care deeply about him and want whats best for his future. But as anyone who's been through it knows, the legal process can be long, emotional, and incredibly expensive. Between lawyer and mediation fees, day to day expense and recently losing my job , I've reached a point where I have to ask for help.

Im a licensed hair stylist by trade and previously owned a salon downtown Toronto. The pandemic forced me to close the salon, but I'm working hard to rebuild to get back on my feet. In the meantime, I'm doing everything I can to hold things together financial during this ongoing legal process.

I'm hoping to raiser $20,000 to help cover the legal costs needed to finalize a fair arrangement and protect my sons stability. Every contribution big or small will go directly to that goal.
