Carlos is a dedicated partner and pillar of his community. He’s been in the U.S. for almost 3 decades, having escaped a traumatic childhood and violence in his hometown. Since then, he’s built an incredible life here in the United States, supporting his family even when he was diagnosed with diabetes and liver disease.
On June 6, 2026 Carlos was kidnapped by ICE as he was leaving the hospital. Even worse, his family is getting reports that he is being held in deplorable conditions. Not only is his partner and child completely devastated and scared, but Carlos is still incredibly sick, and his health is quickly deteriorating.
His dorm mates have reported that Carlos has been in and out of the detention infirmary: first admitted and then returned the moment he’s stable. Carlos has a very specific treatment plan from numerous specialists and is waiting for a liver transplant.
His dorm mates have reached out to us claiming that he can barely walk, he keeps passing out, and his arms are swollen.
Our last visit with Carlos, it was clear that he needs to be released NOW.
His partner needs your help to secure a lawyer to get Carlos out of detention—his life depends on it.
Any donation or help can save his life—but more importantly, it’ll allow us to act quickly before it’s too late. The quicker we are able to raise money for legal fees, the faster we are able to release Carlos.
